Guinea Pig rescue:
One week ago I took in a pregnant Guinea Pig.She went into labor yesterday late evening(from my calculations and her size and weight,she was about 2 weeks early) she had the first baby and then she died while trying to have the next one(s). I believe she was way too small and too young to breed....but she came to me pregnant so nothing I can do about that but we were so very sad and upset when she passed...I tried to save her and help her,but it did no good.The one baby that she managed to have is doing very well so far.I got a recipe for guinea pig formula,went and got the ingredients and started feeding this baby last night.He seems to be doing so much better now.PLEASE keep your fingers crossed and say a prayer for this little guy!He is SO tiny and I hope I can pull him through....
Every 2 to 3 hour feedings day and night remind me how thankful I am that my human kids are all older!But I don't mind doing it!I am keeping him warm and a full tummy and TLC and some other good stuff.....I hope it's enough!
