Mongrove monitor
just got one from a guy, hes a little jitterish (likes to run), never bites, idk if he can hiss yet, hes about 14 inches, still a baby. hes healthy. just got him 2 day. im a little lost on how big the cage should be, hes araboreal yet, he lives in water?? idk what kinda cage i should put him in, i have him in a 20 right now its big as #$!#$!#$!#$! compared 2 him with a big rock and some fake plants, and a huge piece of drift wood so it repersents his eco system, im gonna be feeding him boild chicken and some meal worms or somthing with calcium dust, his heads the size of a big cricket, hes just small period, idk on a name. but first i need 2 know what kinda cage i need.
right now his cage is filled with 3 inches of water, as i said a piece of dift wood the goes ^^ so he can climb, with the fake reed like plants, and the rock is the basking spot, its a 75, and i have a uvb on the rock as well. also, is boiled chicken a good idea? and would it be ok if i gave him a dead mouse and let him just rip it up and eat what he wants?
