Well since Bindi is getting big, I decided its time to build her a nice new cage. Her old cage, will go to little Chewy, cus little Chewy is getting pretty big aswell.
Anyways, a few weeks ago we got a bunch of new furniture for one of the bedrooms at our house, so we were throwing all the old stuff out. Ive always wanted to turn something into a cage, and while I was carrying a dresser to the garbage I was like "o crap this would make a nice cage" so back in it went. Its been sitting in my basement for a couple weeks waiting for me to finish my woods class project, so I could start on the final project. The final project is our own choice. So I chose this cage.
So yah, its an old solid wood dresser, its about 4'x18"x30". so its a decent size, and will be more then enough for Bindi in her adult size. I havent decided how Im gonna heat it yet, but chances are ill be contacting someone about radiant heat panels, once I get a job, and am no longer an unemployed bum.
so anyways, heres the First Days work
This is the dresser after I took the drawers out, but I hadnt started any work.
heres the construction as I ripped all the drawer supports and guides out, you can see the wood infront that I planed and cut to make the front and supports
and heres where I was at the end of the class. Tommorow I start the inside
