well i guess America might finally be on its way out, cause the rate of inflation will have us in the next depression before this election so it wont matter anyways.
we attack iraq, iraq has oil, iraq charges us more for oil, higher oil = higher revenue for them, so not only are they making tons of money off of us using thier goods, the american taxpayers are also having to pay for them to rebuild thier country that we destroyed.

Prices in general are a function of free enterprise which is what America is built on. I know that with rising petroleum prices, domestic oil production is increasing as oil fields which needed more work are now put into production. In addition, there is a huge amount of research going on to create non oil dependent energy.
None of us like high gas prices, but the way to respond is through free enterprise, THAT is the way to keep America strong.
