First of all, this is a civil debate; let's keep it that way. We do know about economics here in Texas, and I myself am familiar with economic concepts.
Farming is changing, and many family farm run farmers are quitting as farms become larger with more machinery and more temporary labor. There is still food in the grocery stores.
Many people are changing what they do in mid life and beyond, I for instance have grown children and went back to school.
Economics is not always comfortable, but free enterprise continues to work and Americans do have a higher standard of living than many in other countries.
