And...unless you put a hollow needle or something in the veins or arteries he may puncture to keep the blood flowing, the blood spurting stops when you put some pressure on the spurters and they quickly seal themselves off because when you bleed, you clot...unless you are a hemophiliac. You would have made a mess, but you wouldn't have bled out.
