My family doctor told me that there would be one of 2 outcomes. Either the general surgeon would do the surgery, or send me to the hospital to get it done...I was ok with either one. So My appointment finally comes today. I took 2 days off work, cus apparently they are gonna be putting me on T3's, and for obvious reasons, my boss doesnt want me working on cars, while im on T3's. So I go to the Surgeons today, and I get there. I get in, and I am right pumped, because after a little bit of pain this will be over. So he asks me questions for like 5 minutes, and then tells me to show him the ingrown toenail. I show him the stupid thing, and he goes "Im gonna put you on another round of antibiotics, and then you can book an appointment in 10 days...so I ask him how long after the 10 days till I get my surgery, and he says "O, minimum a month"..........................I was so #$!#$!#$!#$!#$!#$! off I felt like slapping the crap out of him. I have gone 5 months where anything that involves my toe touching anything hurts like #$!#$!#$!#$!...Putting my sock on in the morning is a chore, and putting my shoe on is round 2. So now I have to go at least a month more, with this same BS. I told him I thought this was rediculous, and that I wont be comming back to him, and then he seemed #$!#$!#$!#$!#$!#$! off when I asked for a bandaid, so I could put my sock back on and get out of there. Luckily my mom has connections with all sorts of doctors, because she has worked at, or managed medical clinics for the last 14 years, and she got me an appointment already with a good surgeon, but it is still going to be a month. At this point, I will accept the one month wait, but I am no way in #$!#$!#$!#$! going back to that doctor.
moral of the story.....dont get ingrown toenails, unless you have totally rad doctors
