Thank you everyone. I originally thought cholesterol in the diet was the problem, but after researching and discussing with the vet it seems the stones in animals tend to be more pigment stones than cholesterol stones, and no prevention methods are mentioned.
Thank you Julius, I still can not help but blame myself, but I appreciate your advice and knowledge on it.
Currently I cleaned all of the dirt out of the cage and washed it down with bleach. Right now our retic is in it, until her new cage is finished, the fiberglass is taking longer than we imagined.
I am going to push for a cuvier's dwarf caiman because their diet is not strictly insectivorous, but my fiance Rachel just wants to disassemble the cage and stick with 3 reptiles. So I am not sure what is going to happen.
