Tree Frog Additions
In a little over a week I get to add my new additions to the tank. I got a Blue Vietnamese Gliding Tree Frog. There is not much about the frogs online, but I found these interesting quotes which describe their name (pretty nifty)
"Although no frogs can truly fly, gliding frogs can soar, bank and steer through the air, and land gracefully from daunting heights due to the enlarged webbing between their toes. When leaping between branches or escaping toward the ground, the toes spread and the webbing acts like a parachute."
"Vietnamese gliding frogs have enhanced webbing between their toes. When leaping between branches or escaping toward the ground, their toes spread, and the webbing stretches like the wing of a hang glider. Although no frogs can truly fly, gliding frogs can soar and land gracefully from daunting heights. Their winged feet allow them to bank and steer through the air, and adhesive toe pads help them stick where they land.
I also got a Big Eyed Tree Frog. I found a picture online at Image:Leptopelis vermiculatus2.jpg - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia The froggy on the right hand side is him/her with the pretty dots.
I can't wait to add them with Chopsticky, Sticky Icky Icky, and Hippity Hop. So far, the Vietnamese is named Blue Popstickle and the Big Eyed is unnamed as of now..

I will try my hardest. I would be so proud of myself if I could get a video of that. I want to stay up with an infrared light anyway so I can see what goes on in there. I'll randomly throw on the light sometimes and it's like a party in there. This was what I observed at 1:30 AM this morning:
Partyin' all night long  Then they woke me up with some loud croaking. Who knows what goes on in there all night.

Here is a list of my frogs and where I got them:
White's Dumpy Tree Frog: Petsmart $19.99
Red Eyed Tree Frog: Petsmart $49.99
Wood Frog: Petsmart Free (he was a tadpole that got accidently shipped)
Blue Vietnamese Gliding Tree Frog: That Fish Place That Pet Place $29.99
Big Eyed Tree Frog: That Fish Place That Pet Place $12.99
I want a Clown Tree Frog really badly and am waiting for a reptile convention to come to my area which is appropriately on my birthday, December 2, hahaha BUT I found a really awesome website last night that sells them and others (I don't know how you feel about shipping animals but it's overnight)
Reptile City: Clown Tree Frog
That might take you to the Clown Frog online.. if so the link for "FROGS" is on the left hand side and you can view them all. She ships overnight and only charges $19.99 which is the best deal I've found so far online. AND she ships up to 6 in a shipment and if you spend over $100 shipping is free. She has an awesome assortment of froggies. Other places I've found charge $50.00 for overnight on top of the price of the frogs. hmy: But yeahhh I talk a lot. and over-use these cute smileys. haha Good luck searching. Any questions just ask.

Ha, I know! haha thanks! I swear they follow each other around everywhere. My tank is a 40 gallon but they are always hanging out together in their party clothes.
