Thank you! I was wlso reading on one of the post about mites. There are small black spots on my RTB, but I cant tell if this is just in his color or not. How can I make certain that this is not mites? Will they move if touched or something?

If they are mites, they will actually stick up. Are you sure they are not just speckles?

Yes, I do think they are just specks. I think reading that post just made me paranoid,lol Thanks again I dont know what I would do without this forum,lol

No problem. Odds are, if the boa had mites, you'd see he/she in the waterdish a lot. And you'd see little black dots in the bottom of the dish.

Yeah, I read that and immediatly looked in the dish and found nothing. So with the reply on the type of boa I have, where are they native of?

It's hard to say exactly what locality unless you have documentation, or the person you bought it from does. BCI range from Southern part of of Mexico, Central America, Northwestern area of South America.

Is it true that BCI boas can be smaller or larger depending on were they are from or does the size depend more on genes and how you feed them? Just wondering since I have a salmon boa and I was told she was a dwarf and she won't get as big as some of the other boa's.
