Lt. Dan Update

We got Lt. Dan at the Portland Show last month, super underweight and skinny. But I HAD to have him, the poor little guy. :( We let him settle in for a week and fed him a f/t rat a little smaller than the girth of his body, which translated to a weanling, and he regurgitated it two days later.

Off to the vet we went. Lt. Dan was perfectly healthy aside from being FAR too skinny for his own good, so we gave him a few rounds of meds to help with his bloating, and started giving him fuzzy mice every few days to rebuild a healthy tummy. He's also got an elevated basking area just in case.

Anyway, his spirits are good, he's SUCH a good-natured little guy! Of course, he firmly believes that I'M now the one starving him by only giving him a couple of fuzzy mice/ hopper mice every few days and not giving him a proper meal, so every single time I walk by his cage, or open it, he's READY for food.

If you so much as crack open his tub even a little bit, he's RIGHT THERE. No cuddling in hides for him, lol! He's on the hunt!




He's SO cute, I hope he continues to improve. I'll get him healthy if it kills me!
