My New Rescue!!!
So I have been looking at some different boas to start a breeding project in a few years. Well about a week ago I went to look at a lady's hodgepodge collection that she was trying to thin out. I was told that she had a beautiful Peruvian male that I might want. Well he was beautiful, but it turns out that he was wild caught and 12 years old. She had not had him out of the enclosure in several years because of his temperament and he would go off his food for many months if he was stressed. Well needless to say I did not want to deal with all of that (plus she was asking a lot for him). But while I was there I saw this beautiful gal.......
So of course I had to ask about her. The story goes that she had been the pet of a little disabled girl until the girl could no longer lift her up on her own. So the lady had bought her and but Clair (the name the little girl had given her) into this tank.......

(Those are 2'X2' rabbit cages next to the tank!)
Clair is 5 years old now and has lived in that tank for the last 3 of them:scared:. Well the lady was not asking very much for Clair so I bought her. She is the sweetest boa ever, no problems getting her out at all. Well I took her to Mark's (my boyfriend) pet store, because he has a big enclose that was originally built for a retic. Clair is in there now, and she loves it, she has to be over 6 feet, (I am 5'6" and when I lay down next to her she is at about a foot longer than me!) Other than her previous housing arrangements she was well cared for, her weight is good, no mites, no scars. She is loving all of the attention, when I open the cage she always comes to say Hi!! And she likes to stretch out her full length in front of the viewing window when customers are in the store.

Aww, she reminds me of the female version of Chance. It really makes me sad that she was kept in such a tiny enclosure. I'm so glad she has found a great home with you.
