Humidity & Temp Guages
hey guys i i just recently got a BOA and i spent a pretty penny on all the bells and whistles for his cage including the temp and humidity guages which i know are mandatory for any healthy reptile environment...my question is should they be applied to the inside or the outside of the cage...i have them now on the outside...but after thinkin about it...my common sense tells me they should prolly be on the inside....
opinions?

They should be on the inside, just above the substrate, on the hot end.

Yes they should go on the inside as the conditions on the outside can be vastly different than the climate controlled inside
Some pix would be great too (hint hint)

Well, overall humidity is more important.. I keep mine on hot side as there's where humidity is lower on my cages.

I place them an inch or two above the substrate. I also keep one out of the cages to give me an idea on the room temp.

Can you post a pic of the devices you are using? Get a temp gun.

You want the fancy stuff. I have recorded those to be up to 20% off in humidity and 8 degrees off in temperature. Obviously this is too much. I've gone through six of each trying to find one that works and only one out of 6 was accurate.
Get a digital Flukers Hygrometer or one that Brandon (ssjsmits) uses from I believe home depot. He can tell you where to get it.
