Aggressive, unmanageable Suriname
This is what I was told, anyway, about this female Suriname I saw at a local shop, I normally don't go to the reptile room here, just needed a few live feeders...
The employees said she was totally unhandleable, a chainsaw evil snapper, and they gave her to me for almost nothing, just to 'get rid of her' because they were tired of 'dealing' with her...apparently she had tagged every person there countless times...
I know I would sure want to bite someone if I was over 3 feet and crammed in a 10 gallon, baking and crispy fried under a blinding white light bulb for nearly a year ....I just don't know what is wrong with people...:cursing:
This is what she looked like when I got her home...right out of the bag from the store:( .....you can see the last half of her body is bound up in several layers of old shed....
From what the shop guys had told me, I was prepared for battle-- hooks, welding gloves, peroxide and bandages...but she showed no sign of aggression at all, not even a hiss, and she let me take off all of the old stuck shed...
Once the old skin was off, there was a wonderful little Suriname under there...and as you can see, obviously not a biter...
I think she is going to do well here

Wow. She really looks good. Congrats on the new "rescue".
Is that an eye cap on the left eye? Or did the flash just reflect funny?

I was thinking the exact same thing...I think it was the flash.
Man, the colors on that thing are fantastic! I'm glad you decided to take it in and care for it properly!
You get rep points for that!:top:

Aww you brought tears to my eyes! You transformed her from a sad neglected baby to a beautiful well loved Boa! She is beautiful and I am so sure she will be sweet with your great care. I would still approach with caution for awhile. Slow and deliberate works well for me I have never been bitten by my two snakes.

She's beautiful. It's amazing what a difference a little care can make. Sad there are so many animals out there like this.
