Thanks.. here's something interesting.

Lots of imperator boas have those white spots or dashes in the saddles, many times going right out on the tail blotches too. Some constrictor or true redtail boas have the white or pale spots and dashes too, fewer have them on the caudal markings..
.
Now this boa has an interesting assortment of light spots in the saddles as you noted.. but look at the tail; the spots are there but they are black. That's pretty neat.

I did take a gander at that tail and noticed those spots. Very neat indeed. Many many many photographs I have seen of imperator boas have those spots like you mentioned, but that peruvian pulls it off quite nicely. That first photo really makes them look sharp and crisp.
