Question about "pastel"

I know this is probably obvious or a dumb question, but are "pastels" a certain morph or is it just a description of a unusually lighter, more vibrantly colored snake?

It isn't a "morph" as far as being a genetic mutation. It is however a selectively bred for light color and reduced black animal.
