She's Gorgeous!
AND covered in mites.

THIS is precisely why we quarantine. But STILL! UGH I hate them, I hate mites SO MUCH!

We received a new female '06 Bolivian Amarali on Friday, and she's absolutely stunning, very orange and pink with faded saddles. Honestly, almost absolutely perfect.... Except that after letting her settle in for a few days, we discovered her in her water bowl tonight. Covered in mites.

We had planned on probing her tonight and double-checking her gender, but that's going to have to wait until the mites are gone and we're fully de-stressed.

We're tentatively calling her Queen Etherea - we're Venture Brothers nerds - and despite her mites, I adore her. *Prepares the PAM*

Thanks, I hope so too!! I'm so glad we quarantine at a separate facility, but I'm nuking my clothes and going on a Provent-A-Mite rampage regardless!
