Aggression?
Has anyone else noticed an elevated aggression in your males, lately? Is it breeding season?
Apollo has tried to eat Elizabeth's face twice this week, and he's taken a couple of shots at my hand, and musked me, too.

No doubt.
He got out a few days ago, and I though he was going to eat my hand before I could get him back in his enclosure!
He's usually pretty docile, this week has taken us by surprise.

My experience with escapees is that their whole demeanor changes. My male BCI who is pretty much a saint has escaped a couple times. Both times I recovered him, he was a completely different serpent, almost wild.

Jezi got a bit hissier, and Kobi was trying to escape for about a month, but they have both settled back down. Riley, well, he's just always a booger lol.
.
I most definitely blame the weather

There is no doubt that a "taste" of freedom brings out the worst in critters!
Their natural defensive instincts kick in when they no longer feel secure, and it takes a good while with some of them to calm down again.
I let my pet rabbit go in my garden too much, and have regretted it ever since, but now she raises such a fuss if I don't let her out. She is a little menace: feisty, rude and just waiting for a chance to attack my hand. Growls and leaps at me like she means business.

I got one evil Honduran wench that looks like this most times. She means it too...
Had her calmed down for a while, then upgraded her cage, and she returned to her normal state of mind. Which is "Kill the bringer of rats". Season don't matter at all. LOL
As for the others, can't say that I've noticed any change in their behavior in the winter months. When they get hissy, they calm down after a few.
