Dank, that is total BS. I posted over there in your support as well. I think if anything the OP showed himself to be a bad buyer! Doesnt make having a "bad guy" thread any less sucky tho. Even tho the BOI is full of butt-faces and drama queens, it is still a valuable tool, and many people, including myself use it to check up on would be transactions.

Honestly, I really think you need to make a site, or have one made for you, if not for the SOLE purpose of having a strong, detailed terms in writing. On our last site, we put a lot of time and effort into making our terms [and a few people actually copied them word-for-word at one point] dirtystinkystuff.com

The benefit of this, is that because email corrispondance holds weight as being a legal, binding contract, during the inital emails I do a few things.

Confirm that the animal is still available. Provide updated pictures, weights and status.
Give a total, including shipping, handling and all other charges.
and then say something along the lines of:
"Please take a minute to read our terms and guarantees [link]
please note that failure to read our terms weather accidental or intentional will not under any circumstances be a reason to consider them void.
Continuing with our transaction [sending payment] aknowledges that you have read and agreed/accepted those terms. "

I have a similarly worded text at the bottom of my invoices that I print out and include with my shipments. My terms are ultra specific, and their sole purpose is to cover our butt in case of a situation with a bad buyer.

Ex: recipiants have ONE HOUR upon delivery to notify us of a DOA, and to include pictures, for them to qualify for our live arrival guarantee. Which means that if they dont sign for the box, open the box IMMEDITELY, or any other such situation, the are SOL if the animals are dead [never happened, but what if?] We dont offer an extended health guarantee of any sort, because of the countless idiots in the world, and the fact that we have zero control over the husbandry of the animals once it leaves our posetion. [no one HAS to read the care sheets we include] Someone could fry it, freeze it, bash it, loose it, starve it, whatever in a 30 day period and decide they want a refund, and I would be out an animal, and the $ for said animal. Far too much of a risk IMO.

I wish you the best in things blowing over. And let me know if you need any help/tips. Even if ALL you do is put up a page with terms, its something that you have in writing for people to referance when needed.

Dank, you have nothing to worry about in that thread. It's obvious that he either has terrible husbandry or zero qt for recent arrivals. The fact that he has not even come back to justify his post speaks for itself. You have a great rep, and there are many of us who have your back. I've never bought anything from you, but would in a heartbeat if I wanted another boa. Your animals are consistently gorgeous, and it's obvious that you know what you are doing. He's a tool. Dank wins.

The thing is that I never really expected to be selling this many animals to begin with. Just an occasional litter here and there to friends and aquaintences over forums and such. Now all of a sudden things have to be treated like a business and not that of a hobby based on enjoying producing animals that I can enjoy and that others can enjoy as well. Looks like I am going to have to take that step I suppose though. Maybe even pay taxes on it so I can call it a legit "business". Sucks that things can not simply be enjoyable.

its fauna classifieds...the most rediculous site ever. I have been on there defending River city reptiles when D-bags attacked, and we did just fine, and i can tell you, we didnt have 25 different people hopping up before we even got there to say how great we were.
