Suriname Introduction
I just introduced Jackie to Hercules at midnight today. I was going to use Jason but he is a bit small yet and since I am (at this point) only planning to introduce one pair this season I would like the best chance of producing. I could have used Mack since he has proven himself last season but I didn't want to produce half siblings of last season's litter.
Didn't see too much last night but today I checked in and saw him giving a half-hearted attempt at chasing her and she was gaping her cloaca and dragging it on the substrate  Herc was copulating last year with Pandora but as alot of you know I lost her last season durring breeding. He was a bit lazy in comparason to Mack but he did show pink on several occasions. Let's hope he gets in the groove pretty quickly this season with Jackie. I will get some pix of the pairing up soon. |

Not much going on at the moment to show. They are arguing with each other and separated to opposite ends of the cage (asleep).....lol....I will give him a week or two and if there is not action I will put Mack in as a competitor for the girl.....Last year when I did that Mack took over (even as the much smaller male) and did the job ....I hate this wait and see part of breeding  |
