That's awesome! I love chams. I've had my veiled for a little while now and he is absolutely amazing. I posted a thread about him a while ago, but I dunno where it went. You're one is just beautiful tho! Congrats!

Sweet! For awhile there I thought I was the only one who had a chameleon! :scared: Does your's like being handled at all? I was thinking about getting a veiled but the cone head seems funny to me. I would have made him a top hat to cover it. But I think my toro is uber cute that I actually wouldn't put him through that. I live in SoCal so the temps and humidity is easy to control. He's sleeping right now. Thanks!!

lol Yeah, he is alright with being handled. it depends on his mood and who is around he is still just a baby and he doesn't like my boyfriend much. Sometimes he crawls onto my hand when I reach in to give him food and hangs out, other time he runs away. I got him from a pet store who received him from a person who didn't want to take care of him any longer... they give me a call when animals like him come through since they can't re-sell them. I think I lucked out though.

Awesome!! LoL I dunno if he likes my husband yet, he did decide to crawl on him when I offered, so maybe. That's sad though, that someone just decides to donate them to a pet store just because they don't want to take care of 'em anymore... They're tooo cute to give up!!

He's a chameleon, right? I shouldn't be able to see him on your hand. I don't think his wonder twin powers are working correctly. Poor things broken, I bet he thinks you can't see him either. :(

LoL! He doesn't have a vast color spectrum as a panther chameleon would unfortunately (they change into all colors! :laugh , but I still love him! Yeah, sometimes I think that he thinks I'm just a squishy soft tree that he loves to climb! He actually climbs out of his cage himself then climbs onto my hand when I present it. THEN he makes his way to my hair!! He was crawling all over my face today!! He seems to turn bright green when ever he sees me (despite the fact if he's on a dark brown branch), I guess he just really loves climbing on me. :shrugs:

I'll be putting up new pics tomorrow! (he's sleeping now) He's just finish shedding around his head so I'll be taking some nice close ups tomorrow!! Today was kinda ew though because I decided to get him some meal worms to change up his diet. (You're suppose to change up their diet every so often, they get bored with the same old thing everyday) Anyhoot, it was a gross and retarded experience... Montigue doesn't really like going down to where the dirt is in his ficus plant, which was where the retarded meal worms kept falling into, so I ended up having to hold or dangle one by one near him on a branch or leaf... :crying: It was gross... He ate two, about 6 fell into the water collecting at the bottom and died, the rest which was about 5 fell into his dirt the plant is in... After several attempts I gave up and fed him some crickets. Seriously, crickets and wax worms so far haven't been as troublesome as the *&$#!*&$#!*&$#!*&$#! meal worms!! :cursing: I'll have to look into better feeders... :sigh:

i just had 6 baby jackson born last thursday. i own a pair of veiled and a pair of jacksons. i feed my chameleon in feeder cups i hang on the side of the cage. it funny because the cups are clear and they try to catch the crickets through the side of the cup. i have been keeping for 3yrs and never had any stop eating crickets. i do feed them silkworms when there availble. try not to handle more then 15 mins a day they may like it but they still get stressed. i have actually cut down handle to the minimum because i started losing some and didn't know why so i just stop handling for a while and they stoped dieing. you also have to check for parasite because poroto are not breed in captivity as much as others chameleons
