There is a good possibility it is just a problem with the monitor or monitor cable. The computer powers up but just says "no signal" on the screen and then goes blank. Unfortunately, I don't have any way to check it and way too busy. My computer is under warranty so I'll let them replace the motherboard. If that's not the problem, I'll have to get a new monitor. :(
I'm not ready to trash the computer and get a mac just yet, nor do I have any money for that venture. Thanks, Jesse, but I don't think Steve Jobs would be very interested in buying me a mac. I will try to check in when I can. My life is boring w/o you guys, my little computer family. Who am I fooling? I cannot break the internet addiction. Please feel free to send me private messages or calls (a few people here have my phone number).
XOXOXOX

Hey, I'm not the one called "stalk" (lol). If I'm strange, I'm definitely in good company here. Wouldn't y'all agree?

Make sure none of the pins in the monitor cable are bent. There should be 15 pins on the connector.

Yup, usually your computer will beep at you when the video card is fried.
