My Snakes are Getting A New Home
...but not a new owner.
My aunt and I are putting up a 100'x50' Cleary building on a local property. It was originally for storage (trailer, camper, ATVs, whatever) and housing my aunt's and my livestock.
So I'm getting to the part of the process where I have to decide on the design and basic layout. As I was making up a floor plan, it suddenly it dawned on me. I'm running out of room here, and I would love to simplify things by putting up a large heated and air conditioned room within my new building, for all the boas and pythons that are no longer in quarantine. I'm thinking about a 20'x20' room.. maybe slightly larger. This will give me back at least one spare bedroom, haha, and it will give me more room to bring in and quarantine new animals. More room for larger cages as well.
What the building will look like on the outside (but larger and set up differently):
The floor plan:
The porch will go outside of the west wall, covering the snake room door and the livestock door.
I never knew how much goes into getting these buildings put up. It's a ton of work and money, and we've only just begun. I'm hoping to get this bad boy up this year, or by Spring of next year at the latest. I can't wait.. and I think the snakes will like it too.
What do you think???

Looks great as long as there's no danger of getting fleas or fumes from a flea and tick dip/pesticides in the snake room.

Looks like a sweet project. Although, I think the snake room should be bigger and the livestock room smaller.

yeah, I agree with Joe, just be sure that any chemicals that will be around whatever livestock you have can't get in there. I had grown up around a farming community and helped out quite often and seem to recall alot of stuff that just gets set around...
But overall, the plans look awesome, it will be great to have that room like that! Good luck!
