Fall Cleaning

Most people have Spring cleaning. I have that, but it's time for Fall cleaning for me!

I've taken the day off today from hiking, exercising, walking, or doing my usual stuff. It's a day off for all the dogs, maybe even two days. I have a 2500 sq foot house to clean, and I live here alone.

Sure, lots of people would love to have a big house, I'm not trying to say I have the hardest live here! But things that suck, suck! Cleaning a 4 bedroom 3 bathroom house by yourself isn't the easiest task in the world, when you have four dogs (well, five at the moment, but I'm driving him down south next weekend).

What does fall cleaning mean for me? It's not just taking everything apart, throwing stuff away and cleaning up. It's the time when I lay thick painters canvas all over the floors of my house. Why, you may be wondering?

My dogs have house access during the day. So?

It's rainy season! Mud, galore! And the dreaded "shake water off upon entering the house!"

But it was also a time to fix up the house to make it a little more kitten friendly, so that the cute kitty I adopted two days ago doesn't electrocute itself, fall off a shelf, get eaten by a snake that somehow made it's way in my house (what, me have snakes, you kid!), swallow something it should not swallow, drink something it should not drink, get stuck in places it should not get itself stuck in (in fact, sometimes defy the laws of physics to get into in the first place!)

So far, nine 42 gallon bags of garbage. Yow! You know how it goes!

But hey, cleanliness is next to godliness. I always keep my house immaculate, but the last month has been nothing short of chaos with people threatening to kill dogs, getting bitten by a husky rescue, a new kitten, driving all over the place, my sister getting trampled by a horse, a new love interest, possibly selling the house around spring next year, vet visits, and so on.

Yipes.

OMG!!! Sounds like your gonna be there all of the fall season!! lol! Remeber to eat and sleep in between!! I agree with fall cleaning and any cleaning is good with that many dogs when it rains!! I bet they make a #$!#$!#$!#$! of a mess!! Our 1 dog gets mud everywhere...its like why put away the mop & steam cleaner?? lol! But think of how rewarding all your hard work will be when your done!!

So, 12PM now and I'm mostly done. Gotta put boxes away into the garage, vacum and mop upstairs, finish laundry, throw all the big bags of garbage into the truck. Nice!

Time for lunch! Me am hungry. All in all, it took about 18 hours so far.
