It seems like we're always in a hurry these days. That's a cultural thing, and it touches every aspect of our lives. I saw a TV show once, taped in Australia, which proved that driving without enough sleep was more debilitating than driving under the influence of alcohol. I've fallen asleep for a few seconds while driving before. How stupid is that? I suspect many people do it. It's just not worth the risk to your own life or someone else's. I'd say it usually results from a lack of proper planning.

When I got stationed in Texas I flew from San Antonio to Dallas to pick up my 77' Firebird at like 6am. Once I arrived I found out that they had moved destroyed my starter and flywheel between me dropping it off and it arriving. Of course they claimed no fault and I was forced to have it towed to a shop to get fixed, I finally got on the road for a 4 hour drive back to San Antonio at like 12:30 that night. I dont remember a single thing about the drive besides stopping on the outskirts of San Antonio to get gas and some chick seeing my Hawaii licence plates and asking how i got to Texas which I replied, without missing a beat, "I came over the bridge." To which she replied, and justified my beliefs that some people shouldn't breed, "So how was the drive?"

Yea some peoples gene pools need a good healthy bleaching.
