escaped snake
Well I woke up this morning to my cat near the baby rack and TWO of the drawers OPEN! One of the animals was under the paper towels asleep (thank God) but the other one was long gone :( I spent all morning tearing up my place looking for it. She turned out to be in the baby's room! If Suris' tails weren't so bright I might not have seen her...lol...So I ended up drilling holes in front of each tub and placing pins in them so that the drawers cannot just be slid open without removing the pin first. Hopefully that will keep my cat from getting strangled (and not by the snake).

RE: escaped snake
So the snakes pushed themselves out of the drawers, or your cat pulled out the drawers?

RE: escaped snake
My wife "almost" said to get rid of the cat. I think that may be a bit harsh but the pin system may be a help. We will see. Oh and don't worry. . . . It wasn't the thick, aberant saddled one

RE: escaped snake
Hahaha.. cats are goofy like that. Mine tries to open the AP cage doors. She paws at the knobs, but thankfully she hasn't learned (yet) to move the little tabs. She also used to let my bird out of it's cage when I wasn't home. When she was a kitten, she'd climb up to the top of his cage and flip the side door latch. She'd never hurt him (she wouldn't hurt a flea) or even try to play with him.. I think she just did it to shut him up. He hates being locked up and makes tons of noise.
Glad your baby is ok... that's a good idea with the pins. I'll have to remember that.
