How much does a mouse cost?
People make me so mad some times. I just picked up a 3 foot ball python off Craig's list. Well it is not that I need any more snakes but I went just to look and what should I find. An emaciated, dehydrated snake covered in bad shed:cursing: Well they only wanted $30 for the snake so I took her. They had her in a 20 gallon tank with a carpet and under tank heater. She has a big burn on her belly from the heater not being controlled with a thermostat so they had just turned it off. NO LIGHT, OR WATER:cursing::cursing::cursing: They could not remember the last time that she had been fed because they could not afford the rodents hmy: I took her to my friends store because I just do not have the room for another snake right now. We soaked her and got all of the old shed off and she seems to be doing all right, but she has yet to eat. Hopefully it is just because she is so cold and dehydrated. It just kills me that people can do that to an animal.:crying:

That is so sad!! The poor baby!! Craigs list is becoming the haven for some pretty sad animal situaitions it seems!! They should've just given it to someone to care for it and ate the cost of what they paid for the snake as its surprising its still alive!! People suck!! Thats awesome you took the snake and helped it! The world is a better place cause ppl like you care Sgrdolphin!! Way to go!

Bleh! People really need to think through bringing home a living creature before committing. There's really no excuse for not heating the tank properly and not feeding your friggin' pet. Holy frigging moly, walk into any petco and ask for an "adoption" mouse if you're that broke! They'll usually hook you up. At least the poor dear's in good hands now!

Update
He took his time on deciding to eat. I think he needed to settle in and warm up. Thankfully there is no sign of a respiratory infection. I didn't want to over load his system so I only gave him a rat pup, which he ate the other day. I am going to offer him a small rat in a few more days. He really should be eating small/med rats. If he does OK with that then I will have him on a good feeding schedule. Also I think that we already have a home for him!!!
