I don't know if I can answer this. I mean (no offense to minimum wage workers) but I would want a job that I'd enjoy doing and I'm having a hard time thinking of one that will pay minimun.

About how much would you put on the townhouse? And where? If you have a city in mind, are there houses in that price range you'd feel comfortable in?

I'll answer my own question now. I would move to the northern midwest. Put 200,000 on a house paid for in full, the other 50,000 will be in the bank to pay for my pets (vet, food, etc). Assuming 6% yearly interest, I should get $3000 a year and that should cover most most of their payments.

The money I earn from my wage would go to paying real estate tax, electric and water, food. What's left over will probably be travel expenses and personal savings.

Don't get me wrong. I could easily spend 250G clothes shopping. It would take a week or so, but it could be done!

I should add, part of why I'm interested is because this will be somewhat similar to my situation, at least as far as making about minimum wage goes. Once my father retires, I don't think I have it in me to continue working in this line of work in another company. It was hard as #$!#$!#$!#$! to get where I am now and I had to fight so much over the last 10 years, I can't see putting myself through another 10 years of it.

But who knows!

Killjoy. All the fun jobs I can think of hardly pay anything.

Stalk, if you have 250G, you should send it directly to me. I will take care of it for you and spend it wisely! (Can you say NORDSTROM'S?)
