If you want a child, and you go to a sperm bank, beit you are single (wanting a child husband or not) or married (then gets divorced) or whatever the case may be, you have no right what so ever to child support from the doner. The doner didn't walk in there with the intention of picking up some child support bills, unlike the recepient...who DID walk in there with the intention of picking up a child. You've got to be kidding me. *&^%&$^$ idiots.

that is so stupid ... it's not like the doner knocked up some girl than dipped. it's the girl's decision to go get preggy and she needs to realise the finiatial situation that kids put you in ... the doner should have NOTHING to do with ANY of it other than go, donate and your done. he should never have to be pulled back into the picture.

We were just discussing this at work so I thought I'd come back and check the thread.

Its amazing that we as a nation can no longer think for ourselves, and must sue everybody and anybody who does not point out the obvious FOR us. We as a nation no longer posess common sense.

Its a sad day if that passes. I guarantee I'll be on my soapbox.

RevJoe -- You should make a poll for the "spanking a child -- Illegal?" debate. This has passed in one state, I think. I wrote an e-mail to everyone that I know, and it was passed around for a long time, over this bull crap. I'd love to post it if there were a thread/poll made.

On the face evidence, yup it is wrong. The fact that the child is 18 should eliminate any reason for her to get back child support, except his actions are probably going to be his downfall. Now if the state she lives in had gay marriage 18 or so years ago, then she and her partner probably would have married. Makes you wonder if that were the case whether she could have a claim to back child support, since her partner would have been responsible as the "other" parent. Also, if she had not allowed any kind of contact between the father and child, she would be up the creek. No parental rights, no responsibility.

Maybe the judge will laugh it out of court. It's just too bad that her chuba sangre can't be dis-barred for filing a frivolous suit.
