I hate Pullman!!!!
I freaking hate this place!! Aside from the fact that I still hardly know anyone down here, the wind blows so violently that the power cuts in and out all the time. And now that it is Winter, the wind, snow and single digit weather makes it feel like Antarctica. Well not really, but pretty freaking close. Luckily, my complex has a back up generator so the power is back on before you can blink. But still. I hate it! I don't have anyone who I trust to look after my boas when I go home, so I pretty much have to prepare heat packs and chuck them in the cages when I leave in case something bad happens. I go through more of those than an actual boa breeder, AND ALL I DO IS GO HOME! Not to mention that about half of my collection is at the point where you need someone else with you just in case if I want to take them out. I miss my old life back home, where I had a huge #$!#$!#$! 2 level apartment to myself, a trusted best friend next door to look after my boas as well as be there when I took the bigger snakes out , NO WIND!!!!!!, my Dad and a huge majority of my school friends. F F F F :cursing::cursing::cursing::cursing:......sorry to use harsh letters.
.
Oh yeah, I pretty sure I'm dying. So that sucks too.
.
McLovin out!

You're dying?
Life sucks. I'm going through much of the same right now.. you know that. Hardest part is not having many friends. I had to cut off lifelong friendships as well as new ones.. losers who were no longer friends or worthy of my friendship.. many were taking advantage of me, most had lost my trust. Meeting new people sucks. And it's probably even worse for you in a place that you're not 100% familiar with.
BUT.. keep your head up. I am too. Things will get better.. life will work itself out. You'll look back one day and miss THIS, because life will be full and hectic and we'll be complaining about other things. In the mean time, don't take what you DO have for granted, stay focused on the good in your life, take on challenges and open yourself up to new things and new people, and have fun whenever you can. And don't die.

I can say from living here in South Texas that constant windy conditions are hard on people, especially those not accustomed to it. Add in winter weather and any other worries and it can really effect your health and state of mind.. It's blowing again here now, 30-50MPH. I'm just in from watering the container plants and piling bricks in the pots to keep them from being blown over! It never stops for more than a day or two this time of the year.. The roar of the wind fills every moment.. in the middle of the night it may stop for a while.. the silence makes you wake up and wonder what's wrong!
.
Hang in there.

Thanks all. I'm done complaining. I was able to sleep it off. I go into these panics about once a month here then I cool off. I've never had a problem with wind until I moved here. It's not terrible wind, we've had a few days where there were gusts up to around 60, but typically it's around 30 mph. It's just when I see my apartment's power star flickering I go a-wall. I have my mother to thank for being a worrier. :glare:My campus is closed today and tomorrow because of the weather. We got about 13 inches of snow last night. Boo.
.
Yesterday, all of a sudden, I started to get this stabbing pain directly on my left side. If you put your arm down by your side, right where your elbow meets your side is the location. I figured whatever it is that I could sleep it off. But no. We have our own Clinic at WSU for students. Basically just cheaper medical care, but it's closed too. Bogus.
.
Thanks again all.

It's not my appendix, that's located on the other side and closer to your pelvis. This is like smack dab in the center of my side.
