Bad News / Good News

So Friday afternoon I was made redundant from my job. I worked in the mortgage market.. so it's been in a huge slump.. oh well, it was kind of expected.

so .. long story short.. I have been very active at www.seesmic.com and have been building an application that runs against their API. (SeesmicAIR). Well, I posted a video on seesmic saying I had been let go.. and Sunday morning Loic & Johann (CEO & CTO) of Seesmic contacted me on Sunday and hired me!! how friggin cool is that?

I'm pretty chuffed.

Actually no. The seesmic interface is done with FLEX. My seesmicAIR application was created with Adobe's new AIR framework. Both use Actionscript 3 as their main language...

CF will now be a hobby thing of mine, I guess.. I will still run the local usergroup, though.. so I won't get too rusty

Basically it could be compared to a forum such as this.. where you record a video for your message rather than type it out.. people will reply.. etc etc.. It's a great concept since you are actually interacting with the people a bit more than just reading/writing text...

thanks all...
