Great video Dank, the kicks were pretty weak, and in terrible form.
We tend to keep our kicks low and never do side kicks. Still very effective against TKD or karate kicks.

People have a hard time visualizing aikido defense against kicks. The reason is that Samuri wore armor so that kicking was not as viable an option as other strikes. The kick defense applications are pretty similar to puch, chop or grabbing defenses in principle but it can look quite a bit different.

That is the truth, I seen some of your photographs and many of the locks look just like chin na. I wonder where these ideas originated and if it spread from mainland Asia to japan or vise versa.
