Louise, you know we love you AND Chance. I think she'll be just fine.

Blind...Yep, she's blind. Old? I don't think so. I think she just went from 5 feet and skinny to 8+ feet and plump maybe a little too fast but she can't be that old. She should easily have another 15 to 20 years on her even if she does spend all that time being grumpy because she can't see. She's not going anywhere any time soon.

thanks brett. i still value your opinion. that makes me feel a lot better. she can be as grumpy as she wants as long as i have her that many years still.

I wasn't taking a shot. Louise and I have discussed Chance's "Louise induced rapid growth syndrome" many times. It is a health concern and Louise has come to understand that and has done a lot to correct it. The point was, just a couple of years ago or so when she got Chance, she was only 4 feet or so? Highly unlikely that she was anywhere near her elderly years seeing as how she so quickly grew to the size she is now. It is possible that overfeeding her has taken a toll on her lifespan. I hope not. I know Louise hopes not...but it's a possibility that has to be faced and learned AND taught from if it is the case and not candycoated with "old age". Meanwhile, she's still wiggling so no need really to dwell on all that. I think she needs more exercise. Maybe leaving her coiled up and grumpy isn't a great idea. Maybe it is if she's sick though at least for awhile.
Here's the best herp vet in Georgia. It's a bit of a drive out to Marietta but worth the trip. Depending on traffic, it's either 40 minutes or 4 hours. Gotta love Atlanta traffic

i will call and make an appointment today. i wonder if i should consider getting her cataracts removed in the one eye. her vet said no cause she had to many surgeries to her head already. when she is acting more like herself i will get her exercising again. but brett you seen she likes to just lay on me and chill when she is out.

Exercise isn't always just letting them do what they want to do when they get all big and lazy. You have to encourage them to move around some. Coming out and chilling is no better than staying in and chilling
