I didn't like Blade because I don't like Wesley Snipes. I think he's his biggest fan and it shows. As far as the comic book super heroes go, I think the recent spiderman movies have been well cast and well done. Comic books aren't exactly premier artwork. Improving costumes a bit for a movie over what is sketched on paper, I don't see as a flaw as far as the green goblin was concerned. The batmobile in Batman begins was odd...but I liked it. Not for the movie. It didnt fit but man...I'd love to take one of those for a spin

Anime never did it for me. Superhero movies were always good though. the biggest problem I have with them is that they don't follow the story lines that well, and they always kill the villian at the end, which barely, if ever follows the books. I liked the spiderman adaptation with green goblin, but they left out a big chunk of the story. It follows amazing issue 122 farely close, but the gwen stacy intro didnt come til SM3, which was wayy past due. They killed doc ock in 2, which sucked. Sandman was well done, and they didnt kill him (thank god). Venom was terrible casting... and they killed him. However, in my geekness i've concluded the villian for SM4... the lizard. Doctor Connors is gonna experiment with the symbiote sample and do his lizard thing... which will be cool. Then again, that's my theory.

Thus Far, imo, the Spider-man flicks have been the best. Parts of them I didn't care because it's not like the comic. But one part that actually made Spider-man "cooler" was his webbing. In the comics he obviously cannot emit webbing from his wrists so he creates organic webbing cartridges that are shot out. But I kinda like the idea that in the movie it is produced from his body. Makes him more superheroish. I was very impressed with the Sandman. Doc Ock was great too and I didn't care for him getting killed off either. I'm excited for the Lizard but I wish they would've hinted at it in the 3 flick. Another thing that I started out liking but went downhill was Mary-Jane. She looked great in the first one. Her hair was nice and red like the actual comic. In the 2nd and 3rd movie it was the normal red head and I didn't care for that. I kind wish they would do a movie with Kraven the Hunter. He was a big part of Spider-man toward the beginning.

Actually, as far as I know, his webbing did go internal within the past 3 years of the comics. They have a new story line out in the amazing series now where it went back to web cartridges, it's kinda stupid.

Kraven was always cool. I'm just glad they didnt do the shocker, rhino, or some other grade B villian. I really hope they dont throw carnage in there. I mean, cool comic character, not really practical for a movie. Lizard I think would be a good choice for a villian, the vulture is always in there, but not very practical. I think the best bet is to stick to spidey's main villians, and not get too side tracked like the x-men trilogy did. That trilogy was dead from the get go. They should have called the three movies Wolverine, Wolverine II, and X-Men I: The End. LOL

Anyway, how about the new Hulk with edward norton? Think he can pull it off? The first hulk was AWEFUL. The previews for the new one seem, at worst, tolerable. Any opinions?

I'm on the fence with the Hulk. Wasn't impressed with the first one like you. But I'm going to go into the sequel with an open mind.
.
And yes, Carnage is a must.

Carnage is a must but not like venom was. Venom was a must, but i think they did it way too soon. I would have like a fourth movie just for venom.

All these dead villains can still come back. Did they actually show the corpses decaying? Super villains and Super Heroes die and come back all the time. Don't sweat the deaths.

In Batman begins, The batmobile bothered me way less than the rewriting of the story of Bruce's parents getting killed. Perhaps the first movie where young Joker killing them was the one that was way off. I really don't know, I collected them way back when but never read them. My son has all my comics now (still sealed in plastic)...but these sequels should follow the story of the movies. If they drift from the comics a bit, they need to stay adrift else the box sets on DVD get screwed.
