Well, I can't say that I voted for Bush, but I am a Republican too.

Each election, I want to vote for a democrat. I really do. But, here's the problem......
Hillary Clinton said the other night that she would raise my taxes to 40%. 40%? Are you kidding me? And, that doesn't include SS or Medicaid. I love you guys but I'm not giving up half my income for this country. At least, not without a fight. I'm not sure why my income group has to be taxed to death by democrats. Bill Clinton had a field day with us.
My issue with my party is the Imperialist view of the neo-cons. Why can't we have more candidates like Ron Paul? I think I am the only Republican that voted for him in Florida in the primary.
I'm not sure what I am going to do in this election. I can't see myself voting for the old man, but I sure don't want to vote for a candidate who will target me to shoulder our nation's financial load.

I don't think I'm voting this election. I guess it's gonna have to be McCain if I do.

Oh bull. Anyone in the effected tax brackets knows how to set up tax shelters and has the means to do it. If you don't want to pay 40% quit doing the EZ form If things keep going the way they are, it won't matter anyway because the upcoming depression Bush has us headed towards is going to put everybody that doesn't own an oil company living in cardboard boxes. Besides, let's say you do pay 40%...with a reasonable economy, lower priced gas, food and other daily needs will more than offset any tax increase.
Speaking of tax increases...what a lot of people don't realize is, it's not really tax increases so much as undoing some of the unfair tax CUTS that the republicans implemented.

All I have left to say on this is that I was hoping against hope that Ron Paul would get a real shot at this thing. Since it became clear that he won't be getting elected anytime soon, I'm just kind of sitting back all forlorn-like and waiting for the country to either crash and burn or miraculously wake up and start the long road uphill.
Anyone wanna place bets on which is more likely?

I literally have $100 riding on McCain to win. A friend offered me 4 to 1 odds after I proclaimed that McCain was guaranteed to be our next president. I am not sure what my friend was thinking...
Thanks for changing the title to something more appropriate Johnny.

Man I hope not. If he does, I may move to China where there will be way more opportunity.

Don't get me wrong, I am not voting for McCain, nor do I want him to win, forget the money.
But when it comes down to it, I just don't see the majority of voters putting anyone else in office.
