I think it's promenade .... It's basically an excuess to get dressed up and dirty dance ... at least thats what it's like here. Most people I know only went for the after Parties.

Ok, can't believe I am posting this.. but this is my prom pic from '94:
(My hair was about an 1" long, I got extensions for the prom.) My best friend at that time missed her prom so I talked my principal into letting her come to mine. The guy I was dating (who is now my fiance! lol) broke up with me a week before the prom, so went with friends. Ah the memories...

I admit, I hated my prom... My dress didn't fit well and I just was NOT happy at all. It was long, boring and emotional.

The 80s were lame, the 90s pretty much rocked and the 2000's seem to be the 80s all over again.

I graduated HS in 2003, but I never went to wither prom. I hated that kind of stuff. Prom, any dances, sporting events... I avoided them all.
I grew up in a small, ignorant, hick town and I didn't have much in common with most of the people I went to school with.
I'm pretty sure I skipped prom my junior year to go dancing at a goth club in the city. WAY more fun!
