Do snakes have feelings???
Do you think that they do. Here is my proof that snakes have emotions. The emotion curiosity. My Taiwan Beauty Snake which by the way from what I can tell is my smartest and most curious snake watchs me constantly. A couple days ago I was filling waters which I do by his cage. he looked at me with those big beauty snake eyes and did waht curious dogs do....he cocked his head side ways like he was saying why arent you doing mine first.

These types of threads usually turn into one gigantic argument. But no, I don't believe they do.

yea they will soon turn into an arguement on something but to me they do just my opinion.
all i wanna say is thats just the same exact thing as asking does your dog or a dog have feeling, or a cat or any animal have feelings. i believe every animal, etc. has feelings but yet noone in this world has found exactly out how to tell on what they are feeling and aren't advanced yet enough to understand them except for in certain ways if you get what i mean.
this isnt meant to start an arguement!!!!!!!

Everyone's entitled to their opinion. Unfortunately none of us talk snake, so anyone could be right.

I believe yes, I think that a snake has to feel love for some one or at least... I donno feel comforted by some one not to just bite them as soon as they are handled. I donno I think all animals have feelings but thats just my opinion

Why on God's green earth would an animal that's been around 65 million freaking years suddenly "love" you but shows NO emotion towards it's own kind? If it really loves you...I mean really really loves you, then you shouldn't have to cage it to keep it around.
As far as biting. It's all in how they are handled. When/If they no longer feel threatened, they usually stop any biting if any ever was. I catch snakes in the wild all the time without restraining them and rarely get bit. I caught an adult female black rat the other day that was gravid....just gently picked her up and let her crawl all over me...she never tried to bite. I don't believe it was "love" that kept me from bleeding though.
"Do snakes have emotions?" isn't a very fair question. Do they have HUMAN emotions? No. Do they possess snake emotions? Yes...maybe. Fear is certainly evident at times. Happy? Sad? Love? naaa sorry. Contentment is not the same as happy...unless maybe it's a snake thing and we just don't understand.

i believe that snakes have emotions to fear, pain etc. but i do not believe they feel emotions for one another. for example. i've given snakes shots and they flinch like they felt the pain of the shot. but for having emotions for people or other snakes, i don't think they do. just my opinion.
