Dear, (I may be entitled due to my age to call anyone here "dear") you need to be very careful how you step with this person, who obviously hates you for some reason, or no particular reason.
Presumably they have no proof that you drove your car on their land, so do not let that scare you at all. You are innocent until proven guilty, right! Just stay within your rights, and if you are not sure of them, do call a lawyer for advice, especially if these people keep up this "campaign" against you.

Thank you all for allowing me to vent, and for offering your advice & support. I really DO appreciate it!!!
I DID talk to a lawyer, who said that the guy could technically claim trespassing if our mower touched his property...which it did by a few feet  . BUT, he also said that a judge would laugh him out of court, if it came to that. There is still the issue of false accusations against us, and the swearing/name calling. If that happens again, we were advised to file charges against him.
I think we are going to take Lucille's advice, and get a camera up in back of the house. Elizabeth said she saw them lurking outside the fence with a flashlight (again) late last night/early this morning. I think I would like to have a recording of their actions, just in case. |

Can't prove you didn't? Since when is that an issue? They have to prove you drove through the yard to have a case. Were there tire tracks? If so, would plaster casts match your tires? If not, they will have a tough time proving anything.

My next door neighbors broke into my house once and stole cash, and my playstation.....then they broke in again, and stole anything that plugged in, or took batteries, aswell as all the food out of our fridge, and freezer, and they stole our microwave, toilet paper, and laundry hampers.........then they broke in one last time and stole all our families jewlery........then they lied, and got away scot free, even after bragging about it, cus we didnt have "proof".....My neighbors really sucked
Good luck with him. I agree with the above mentioned, Video tape him. Get a lil camera, and next time you see him doing something wrong, turn the cam on. The camera doesnt lie.
