Chinese too young
Just heard a report that documents have been uncovered on one of the Chinese women gymnasts that shows she is underage to qualify. If this is proven then Luken will be elevated to a gold medal on the uneaven bars and the women's team will be elevated to gold!
Since Chinese athletes are regulated by the state, you would think that the document falsification would be better cover up than that. Fingers crossed for the US women!

I think age limits are stupid in competition anyway.
Not only may this contraversy give us a couple of more gold medals BUT it may also show that you don't have to be a certain age to be the best in the world. I always thought the idea of the olympics is to bring your BEST competitors in an attmept to win. The fact that these "kids" took gold means that they were the best (at least in this competition). This may bring some attention and perhaps some changes to minimum ages.

The ONLY reason this is news is bc the US got spanked by a little girl...IF she is a little girl. The asians are known to look young. Noone else is complaining except the US. If they had swept the medals like China, noone would have said anything...poor sportsmanship is all it is... IMO. But if there is evidence, there is evidence, it will wither be found or it wont. I say just kick back, flip on some Bob, smoke it if you got it and just see how it plays out

us got beat by some 13 year olds, highly doubt it, being as i watched all of the gymnastic events. the new scoring system is a mockery at best.
when you can watch a chinese girl make over 6 balance checks 3 mistakes not tying routines together, and average dismounts then score the same score or BETTER then the americans makeing no mistakes, i dont thinmk you can call it getting your butt handed to you by some little girls.
the whole scoring for the olympics has been off for the americans and the chinese have been getting scores way to high.
being someone that grew up around these events cousins involved, and watched the whole olympics, its not fair to say the were beaten the chinese were given the medals.
and i hope she is underage cause the medal is rightly lukens anyways.

I wasn't going to gripe about scoring. That is a WHOLE different thread. And I know how young some asians can look. What I am referring to is that there were some documents uncoverded that shows inconsistancy with one of the gymnasts.
Either way it goes, if their best gymnasts were 13, 10 whatever those (in my opinion) should be the ones they took to the games. Perhaps a rules change is in order (for the next olympics). For this one however, the rule was in place so there should be a medal strip if the allegations are proven to be true.
