I hate...
[vent]
Our stupid PC. I do Tech Support on Wireless/Wired Internet Connections.. ALL DAY LONG. I should not have to come home and deal with it.. Or if I do have to deal with it.. I should be able to fix it right away.. I should NOT have to call tech support and stay on the phone with them for 2+ hours.. Its a fricking ethernet connection... Everything is set up properly.. It worked perfectly fine this morning.. It should work.. I got up to Tier 3 Tech Support.. so at least I don't feel like an idiot.. They couldn't figure it out either... Their only suggestion... Run Antivirus software.. I hate this PC and earlier this week I already threatened throwing it out the window of our 3rd story apartment.... so..

[/vent]
I love my mac.. Which is able to access to access the wireless network just fine...

My problem WAS the wireless. Once I turned it off and hardwired our network, our connection worked fine.

i need to find the power cable to our external hardrive.. and then we can figure out linux shiznit.. And.. I ran the spyware/virus program.. nothing was found.. hahaha.. i dont want to call them again.. i may just get a PCI Ethernet Card from work.. and see if that solves the problem.. The wireless really sucks right now as well.. Really really intermitent.. and its exactly 1 foot from the Wireless Router.. POS.. Oh how I hate you!

And your Mac connects the WiFi network fine? Yeah, sounds like your wireless card is bad or the driver is bad.
Life is good without spyware and viruses. Life is good with Linux.

Get that external hard drive working and backup your data. Because when I roll into a situation with problematic computer and it's running M$ windoze, I wipe the hard, install Linux, and call it a day.
