Temp gun
Im looking for a decent temp gun in the 10-15 USD range. Does anyone know of a good site? I checked out tempgun.com and the cheapest one I saw is $25. Im sure there is a cheaper, reliable one somewhere.
Trying out a no UTH setup with my BP since he never goes to the hot side and my room stays at 80 degrees day and night. So I need to take some readings.

well to tell you the truth i wouldnt try to excape the money wise part of it because in the long run the one that cost the most is going to be the one you trust and knows works great compared to the one that was cheap and might give out quicker. im not saying that buying one for a low price is bad im just saying that the one that cost the most or one that cost a good amount is going to be the best one in the long run

Sometimes. But with exotic pet merchandise ive found that more money doesnt mean higher quality alot of times.
I may end up buying a $40 one but I was hoping someone may know of a good quality gun for a fair price.

temp guns are used for a variety of reasons beyond the reptile trade. I have seen them marketed for tuning R/C cars, automotive diagnostics, etc. and to be honest $25 seems like a fair price.
I held out on buying a temp gun for a long time, but I eventually got one for about $30-35 from the Snap-On tool truck. Its not a big gun type, just a miniature pocket infrared thermometer like the $25 one you speak of.
So yeah, I would say $25 is about the base price for these techno-gadgets. Good luck, though. Maybe you can find one on Ebay.
