Do any of you have any really SLOW friends? Not mentally slow.. haha.. just SLOW.
I have to complain about one friend in particular. I've known him forever.. we've always been close.. but his SLOWNESS is starting to really make me mad.
He has a habbit of calling and saying, "I just left work, I'm going home to take a shower, I'll be over in 40 minutes." 40 minutes? Try 4 hours. Literally.
Then he does the "I'm on my way." It takes 15 minutes, in bad traffic, to get from his house to mine. And when you call him back after a half hour, it's still "I'm on my way! I'll be there in 5 minutes." Something like 40 minutes later, he shows up.
And he just moves slowly in general. He'll get so absorbed in a tv show, or just so absorbed in SITTING. If we have somewhere to go, it takes forever to get him into the car. I have to turn off the tv and say "Come on, we're going to be late" like 10 or 15 times. When that doesn't work, I grab him by the hand and pull him out the door. We get outside and he says "I forgot something". Uhhhg. So he goes back inside, for like 15-20 minutes, looking for something. Then he goes to the bathroom, fixes his hair, washes his face, whatever.
Or if we're just hanging out, he always stays late. I'll get really tired and say I'm going to bed. He just looks at me like "Ok, so?" So I have to stand up, turn everything off, and gather up my stuff. I usually just stand there for about 10 minutes, waiting.. while he sits and continues to talk. My legs get tired, and I'm tired, so I sit back down. He takes that as "Oh ok, you can stay longer". GAHHHHHRRR! NO! So I stand back up. I say, "I'm tired.. I got to get some sleep." It STILL takes him another half an hour just to stand and get up off the couch. Then he kind of lingers... plays with random things or starts talking about something else... and I hate to be a b****, so I just work my way toward the door. (This is actually making me laugh now.. normally it makes me mad, hahaha.) He sort of follows.. sometimes. Other times I have to yawn repeatedly, and actually start to ignore him, before he gets the point.
What is with this guy??
Sorry.. I just had to vent. He had me hanging around for like 4 hours yesterday, when I could've made other plans or gotten some errands taken care of. But every time I called him, it was "I'M ON MY WAY!!!"
:cursing: Haha.

Yeah, I have a few of those too. I know how you feel.
.
Times like this (referring to the going to bed incident) you just have to be blunt and tell them to leave. I've been in the same situation too when I lived at my old place. You hate to be a jerk about it but they have to learn somehow!

Been there...
I'd like to say "he wasn't brought up right", and it's a learned behavior, but that's not true. Maybe it's something he'll grow out of. Believe me I've seen it first hand. I know how frustrating it is.

Well, L.A. Ink is like a off-shoot in a way. Kat Von D worked at Miami Ink for the first 2 seasons but I guess eventually she and another person at Miami Ink didnt get along very well. She was offered a show in her hometown of Los Angeles, L.A. Ink.
I heard that about Miami Ink and wondered the same thing about L.A. Ink. On the website there are like 5 'featured artists.' Pixie and Kat were both there and are on the show. I dont even watch the show, but I love Kat to pieces and had to roll down there with my cousin when she mentioned she would be going!
