Housing corns together
I was told that you can house 2 corns together. Im pretty sure its legit but I had a question. Does that go for all corns? For example I am looking at getting my wife a blizzard corn to replace her lost one and want to ensure that it is not going to kill or be killed. The blizzard is a july baby and the current one is a august baby. Age wise they are close but I figured better to ask that be sorry.
'
Thanks

No matter the species, housing any two snakes together is never a good idea. There are always risks involved. Will one eat or injure the other? Will they both get sick, if one gets sick.. and then you'll be stuck with 2 vet bills? Will one stress the other out with it's presence, causing problems immediately or even over time? Etc.
No matter the snake.. it should be kept alone.

See that what Ive always thought too. I was told by pretty much every breeder that Ive talked to that corn snakes can be kept together and that they are actually very accustomed to it, being social/group snakes. Ive never really heard THAT paticular reasoning lol but had always heard corns could be kept togtehr with no problems. Short of one getting sick... ect

I'll have to do some hunting, but I've seen several pics of cannibalism w/in corns.

The biggest reason for not keeping any two snakes together, except when attempting to breed, whether they are the same species or not is PREVENTION!
Prevention of parasite and desease transmission.
Prevention of stress from one being dominant.
Prevention of cannibalism.
Prevention of cramped space conditions.
Prevention of two animals getting sick instead of one.
Prevention of confusion over which one did what poop or urate.
I'm sure there are many more that I haven't listed.

Like said above, defently stay away from housing more then one snake together. Although it has been done, its very risky.
