Exclamation Is this Weird??

I'm really unfamiliar with king snakes, but a dude came into my pet shop today and wanted to buy some wax worms, and i said what for? He told me that he found a king snake on a job site and didn't want it to die so he took it home, he claims that the only thing that the snake will eat are WAX WORMS! is this Normal????

There ARE snakes that eat only insects, but I've never heard of a Kingsnake that does...though maybe the young ones do in the wild...

I've never heard of that, but kings do have a pretty wide variety of prey.

I saw a video of a King snake eat a corn snake, seems like they are pretty much the garbage disposals of the Snake family.

When the word "king" is at the beginning of a common snake name, King cobra, kingsnake, King Brown etc...that refers to it's diet that commonly consists of other snakes. They also eat lizards, small turtles, mice, rats, other rodents, frogs, birds...but wax worms? poor snake.

Probably not. It's just that a kingsnake is not an insectivore and has dietary needs that won't be provided by wax worms.
