Do not take this the wrong way as it is not an attack. I've been keeping boas for about 8 years and in NO WAY, do I think I am experienced.

I was 15 once. I knew everything too just like you do. EVERYTHING! Funny how I changed every single habit and method later and how everything I "knew" turned out to be at the very least inaccurate. In the end, you will do what you are going to do. It's not our call. Just don't expect any respect for making dumb judgment calls when you were warned. My favorite snakes were always the arboreal boids. I wanted an emerald badly since I was about 10 or 11. I could finally afford one when I was in my early 20s but husbandry was in the dark ages still and not many people were successfully breeding them. Wild caught emeralds are even today pretty much soon to be dead. So I waited...I got my first emerald when I was in my 30s. There's no shame in waiting a while. You and the animals will be much better off if you wait till you have secured your future and don't have any more drastic changes ahead that will guarantee disaster. Again...college? military? What ya gonna be when ya grow up, son? If you say "herpetologist" I'm done with this conversation lol
