Funniest thing ever!!!
My mom is here, visiting from Phoenix. My daughter's rat died, so I decided to get another one. She's really sweet, and "blue and white" with one red eye and one black eye.
They gave me a large cardboard box for her ride home. Just for fun, I persuaded my mom to hold it on her lap:laugh:. I told her to watch out because sometimes they pee on the way home. Guess what? 
I looked over just in time to see this!:laugh::laugh::laugh: It was hard to drive, laughing so hard. AND...she was talking to my dad in Phoenix on the cell phone when it happened.
When we got home, I had her stay there, seat belted securely while I ran for my camera. The box was completely dry. She's a good aim.  That's a puddle on my mom's jacket.

I laughed non-stop for about 10 minutes. My mom said I should've been crying. Actually I was! It really made my day. The poor rat was probably wondering what all the excitement was.
Another funny thing:
The cage in the pet store had a note saying "not for food". Apparently the ladies there had fallen in love with this one and her babies, and wanted to get her a good home. I got a stern warning not to feed her to a snake, and to bring her back if I ever part with her. She's really sweet, and will always be a pet, along with the other female I got 2 days ago. More pics coming later. My new mission is to get a pic of mom holding one of them .

haha we do that all the time at my work! We started to breed rats to save on buying so many live feeder rats. BAD IDEA! We fall in love with all the babies and the mommies and never sell them for food. Big signs saying NOT FOR FOOD or PET RATS. Its good stuff. Nothing cuter than a fat baby rat..
WE recently started breeding dumbo rats. :love:

My other one is a dumbo. All of her babies in the store had the ears too. It must be a dominant gene . Cute!
