You will not find anyone here (hopefully) who feeds live unless there is no other option. Live prey can injure or kill a snake easily. In the wild, the two do not co-habitate in an enclosed tank, so one can get away from the other. But in captivity, the rat is the smarter animal and will often fight to the death. There are many people here who have had personal experiences with live prey injuries to their snakes. Ask Louise. Chance is a rescue who almost died from rat wounds. In addition, I find feeding live inhumane to the rat or mouse.

LOL I've stopped counting too! *dies* Joey tells me we have 34. He's allowed to count because he doesn't clean the cages or feed any of them. A B.A. in comp lit and all I do is clean cages and work retail, ugh! :glare:

Ha ha, I have a B.A. in Psych and 2/3 of a masters degree, and I work as a massage therapist and high-paid secretary.
Favorite bumper sticker:
"I have a liberal arts degree. Would you like fries with that?"
