The Dangers of Live Feeding

I hesitated in mentioning that part of the story because I know that Louise doesn't like to tell that. She isn't the type of person who goes arounds and attacks people and I knew that if I asked her about putting it here, she probably would have said no. So I went ahead and did it myself without her permission. That was wrong and she hasn't said a word to me about it, but I wanted to explain why I mentioned it because I feel it is an important part of the story.

When you get into the live debate, right away some promoters always start thinking that people are just overreacting saying about the dangers. Some feel that when they are told that they need to do it for the safety of the snake that their own love for their snakes are being challanged and they go on defensive. To me what Louise did was done out of her love for Chance and all that he went through. To me it shows a person who loves her snake as much as she can.

Also, it is as funny as heck! Can't you see little 5 foot Louise going postal on this lady who was so smug and couldn't have cared less about what Chance went through!!! I only wished more abusive snake owners got what was coming to them! When are those Chanclings coming????????

when i find the perfect mate for him. you will be the first to know. in a way you are kind of like chances snake daddy. lol. i mean his first bike and sippy cup and what about that cute little onesie you bought him thanks for this post scott. you pretty much hit the nail right on the head.

Louise, I am a pacifist at heart, but I must say you ROCK for giving that woman some karmic payback! Couldn't help smiling when I read that. You did what we all would like to do but don't have the guts.

So sad, I ran into my own feeding live problem that almost cost the life of one of my BPs. after that I will never feed live again. It angers me to see how many people still feed live and think its fine and safe. Yes there are cases that feeding live in necessarry but most cases its not and the snake that is said to only eat live will take pre-killed or even F/T but the owner is lazy and trys once and gives up.
