Well put, and yet you will STILL find people that argue and say that it's ok for whatever reason.

people will argue that snakes eat live in the wild. snakes also live through droughts and fires and many other natural disasters. are people gonna create all that for thier snakes? also a snake is not put in a small place with live prey in the wild.
thanks everyone for adding pics and stories. it is worth it if this thread will change a few minds.

I have a ball python I feed live mice to.. I have tried and tried to get him to eat frozen like my snow corn does but he just won't do it.. What would you recommend I would love to switch him over it is way more convenient to have frozen mice in the freezer. I also can't get him to switch to rat pups live or otherwise so feed him large mice.

Pre-kill them or stun them, then just make them "dance" in front of him with tongs.

get him some dirty mouse shavings and roll the rat in it. that works it really does. the more dirty the shavings the better. make sure you heat the frozen rat up really good and that it is warm to the touch. leave it in with the snake all night and do not peek till morning. also if your snake hides in a hide box...wait till the snake is in the hide and dangle the f/t rat/mouse in front of the hide, curiousity usually gets the best of the snake and it makes them strike. if that dont work send me a PM and i will help you from there
