Feeding pre-killed is fine, the important part is its safe for the snake, probly better for the rodent to, not knowing whats happening..

The problem with F/K is that there is still the chance that parasites etc that are in the rodent may infect the snake. The freezing process almost entirely eliminates this.

ABSOLUTELY it's better than live. Yet even breeding your own it could happen.

Stunned rats can and will bite. I attempted to "pre-kill" a rat once. I was certain the sucker was dead. He wasn't.. he was just knocked out cold. He came to and bit my python. Left a nice big rip in his neck. I will no longer even "pre-kill" rodents. F/T only for me.

He was out cold.. completely limp.. and not breathing. Or it was such shallow breathing that it wasn't visible. I waited for at least 60 seconds and checked for signs of life again. None. But his heart must've still been beating, because he revived himself and was suddenly awake enough to fight for his life. It was a crazy thing to witness, that's for sure.
